Play & Education
Here at the Rand Farm Day Nursery & Pre-School in Lincoln, we provide a learning environment where education and play is focused around the child’s interests
Children learn best when they are having fun and this is exactly our ethos.
As you would expect on a farm park, there is plenty to keep young minds stimulated. On their daily supervised visits, children can collect eggs, visit new baby animals and take tractor and trailer rides through the fields.
Babies
Ratio 1:3 – From 6 weeks to 14 months
The Baby Room offers a safe and stimulating environment, which uses sound, colour and touch to encourage the babies to explore their ‘second home’. We strive to mirror the feeding routines, nappy changes and sleep routines you use at home and we supply all nappies, wipes, and formula milk free of charge.
Outside babies have their own dedicated area in the private gardens and enjoy regular visits to the farm.

More structured than the Baby Room, every activity in the Pre-Toddler Room is considered a fun learning opportunity. Like our other rooms, activities take place within the Nursery building, private garden or on supervised farm visits.
Pre-Toddlers are encouraged to enjoy early maths (how many lambs can you see?) develop their language skills, participate in creative play and learn to relax at story time. We will also work closely with you to complement your potty training!

Pre-School
Ratio 1:8 – From 3 to 5 years
Our aim within the purpose-built Pre-School is to ensure that all children are confident, having followed the Early Years education curriculum ready for mainstream school.
You can expect your child’s time to be full of learning experiences, split between the Pre-School, the free flow accessed garden, the local community and of course the farm; to see and feed the animals.

All staff are very caring, enthusiastic and dedicated to the children. They do a variety of activities with the children each day and go outside daily. There is good communication at the end of the day to rundown the child’s day.
My little girl has been going to Rand Farm since she was 9 months old and is now 2, and she absolutely loves it. All the staff are so friendly, approachable and just lovely and amazing with the children. I have noticed such a difference in her development since going to nursery. I know we have a few more years left but we will be so sad to leave.
All the team at Rand Nursery are amazing. They create a family atmosphere, which is lovely for the children and parents. They have a safe environment, making it easier to leave the little ones knowing they are safe. My little one has come on leaps and bounds and I have Rand Nursery to thank for this.
: My little boy has recently start attending Rand Farm Park Day Nursery in the baby room and I am so pleased with how the staff look after him! He had never been away from before he started attending so it was very new and quite distressing for us both but the staff have been amazing at settling him and also reassuring me at any time that I need. The food is exceptional and he eats like a king when there and the fact that everything is included really takes the pressure off me having to sort it around work. The access to the farm and play areas is also a huge bonus and a different learning experience that you can’t get in other child care settings and the fact that the children are taken outside regularly is a really brilliant factor. Overall, I cannot fault this nursery, I feel at ease knowing my son is well looked after and comforted whenever he needs to be as well as having loads of fun and really good food!
Rand Farm Park day nursery is an exceptional nursery. All staff are friendly, caring and dedicated professionals with a passion for developing the skills of children in a happy and well-resourced environment.
